Hey guys, so for those who went last year, the You Are the Light of the World Rally is happening again this year! WOOT WOOT! last year it was at the ricoh coliseum but this year we're taking it out doors! So be prepared to be called by your leaders to hopefully attend this awesome event

This Christian event has been called the "Ricoh Rally" in the last 2 years (naturally, because it was @ Ricoh Coliseum)...
This year, the "You Are the Light of the World" Faith Rally makes its return in an outdoor setting! This time, the venue is the Basilian Marian Shrine of Gratitude, a.k.a. the big field behind St. Jude's!!It boils down to this: OUTDOOR WORSHIP!!
There will be a short talk about Christ's love and Sacred Heart, Holy Mass celebrated in the morning, possibly a couple of guest performers during the Lunch hour, and a dance & dramatic number as well!
We will end with a BANG, as we close everything out with an hour-long WORSHIP!!!
God-willing, the weather will be great and we will worship in His natural creation with (hopefully) thousands of others who also wanna show their thanksgiving to the Lord!
[ WHO'S INVITED? ]Come one, come all! This is for ANY believer in Christ ("young ones" AND "young once") who wants to have a great time worshipping His name! So it doesn't matter what your group affiliation is (if you even have one). Simply COME AND WORSHIP! WOOHOO!!!
[ FOR THOSE IN HIGH SCHOOL ]PLEASE TALK TO YOUR SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY TEAM ABOUT ORGANIZING A GROUP TO GO TO THIS RALLY! Ask anyone who went last year for help on how to do this. I know there's a lot of you out there.
So yea, this event is recognized by the TCDSB and your school chaplain should know about this. Therefore, your school is probably already going! So yea, the details are up there and pray for good weather!

GET YOUR PRE-CON!
Hey guys!
So as you know it's that time again... PRE-CON is near. You know what that means.. we need people for banner, sports ( volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, floor hockey, floor soccer, touch football) , Band ( talk to Neil), original song, original short film competitions and murals. If you guys are interested, comment on this blog and tell us what you want to be in. COOLIO?! We encourage you guys to be part of this event or else we'll just be plain soft tings. Naw mean? Anyways, pray for EJ cause he's sick and still has exams and for the other people in our chapter who still has exams.

BTW, our color for this year is yellow! So at precon we better see you all rock yellow na mean?

This weeks Event!
Hey everyone! EJ here. Hows you? Yea? Good? That's so good to hear. Oh really? Wow! Haha no way! Haha man, you crack me up!
*ahem* Well anyways... For those who attended Saturdays Household Leaders training awesome! But for those who didn't we were invited to a youth retreat even this saturday the 23rd. This event will replace this months "Household Assembly", so try to go! We encourage you all to support this because they support us!
Here are the details:
Toronto 7th Annual Youth Weekend 2008
When? Saturday, February 23: 12pm- 8pm
Sunday, February 24: 12pm- 6pm
Where? Bishop Marroco High SchoolAddress: 1515 Bloor St. W- Outside of Dundas West Station
Cost? $20
Ages: 15-30 Years old
This weekend will include:Powerful talks, discussions on Sexuality & Life; Drugs; Internet; God; Vocations & Others give by Priests, Dr.s
Holy Mass with Archbishop of Toronto Thomas CollinsEntertainment & Recreation, Praise & Worship Music, Reconciliation & Music Festival
So yea, the cost covers BOTH days but as you can see, it's not a sleepover thing. So you guys can come on just saturday, which we all encourage you to do!
This is an AWESOME oppurtunity to go out and meet other youths that love God, but aren't in YFC neccessarilly. So try and make it kays?
Your household heads should be calling you all with this info if anything. Also, Ram and Febs (our cluster heads) want an estimate on how many people are going by this WEDNESDAY! So, household heads encourage your members to go and tell us who can go and what not by wednesday.
Anyways, time to go back and play some Pokemon

Back and running!
OMG news!
Hey everyone and welcome (again) to Downtown’s blogspot! Woohoo.
Ok so yea, some people don’t know we have this but we do… And we’re planning on making this a main tool in which we can relay event info and info in general to you guys. So we suggest making this a homepage so that you open it up and see right away if there are any new postings.. or at least making it a favourite so you ca keep checking this weekly!
YFC C1 and Downtown has undergone MAJOR changes and here’s a run down of them:
NEW CHAPTER HEADS
As you all may know, Joel has planned to step down and has chosen a replacement. The new male Downtown Chapterhead is…. EJ Lazaga! Our female chapterhead is still Steph. Now, don’t worry, Joel isn’t leaving downtown (nor will he… He’s downtown FOREVER). Joel is now what is called a "Overseer" and still acts as a leader so yea..
Anyways, as of now, I (it’s EJ writing this blog btw…cuz steph is lazy and she doesn't know how to work this :P) haven’t chosen a replacement music min head but will soon. So keep checking here.
Unit heads: Unit heads are David and May. YEAYO!

To those who don’t know, YFC Downtown is part of a cluster called East C1. In this cluster is RENWY and MAGYOUTH along with the new chapter RHAV. Leading this cluster is Rams and Febs! They’re cool people... really cool :D
HOUSEHOLD HEADS
For those of you who made it to today's training, yay!
For those of you who didn't... shame on you. Aha. jokes. But basically just as YFC is split into chapters, chapters are split into Households. A household is just a group of people (around 5) which you're grouped in lead by a Household Head. These households meet about once a month (or at least.. they will now) or can chill outside of YFC.
So Household Heads: Call up your members! .. ALWAYS!!! We're serious about this. Like. Seriously. So call them up and tell them that they're in a household and what not
Household Members (that's everyone else :D): be ready for a call from household heads :D
Okay, this is getting really long. But yea. The important thing to take away from this post is
CHECK HERE OFTEN!!!!!!!!

Pre-Conference!!
Iight Downtown Listen UP!!
Pre-Conference will be this APRIL 21st.
We will be having Pre-Con Practices every week, thats including weekdays, from now on until the day of Pre-Con. Soooooo, make sure that you guys are free to go to practice any time during the week!!
Your household heads will be informing you about these practices!!
Heres a list of the activities that will be happening at Pre-Con.
If you want to part of any of them tell your household heads!!
Sports
- Basketball (Men/Women)

WOOTS!! CAMP FALLOUT!!
About a week ago, we had our camp, "Camp Fallout".
It was one biiigggg rollercoaster ride, but in the end we're glad to say it was a SUCCESS!!
Big thanks go out to our Service Team and the CC's!
With your help Downtown has 30 Brand New Members added to our family!!
We will be having our Covenant Orientation in about two weeks from now, we'll keep you guys posted.
